borderland is an exhibition about the echo of thoughts on the other side of the border, where we allow the departed soul to continue its journey. the end of the physical body does not signify the end of the spirit. finished ceramic artworks invite viewers to discover the liminal space where death and its aftermath intersect. the works in the exhibition were created as part of the XXIII Kohila Symposium. the appearance of the works is entirely natural, determined solely by temperature, wood ash, and air.
